Rock City Tattoo utilizes the highest standards of sterilization and cross contamination prevention procedures possible. Your health is of utmost priority and is my first concern. Every precaution available is taken at Rock City Tattoo to insure your health and safety. Autoclave sterilization of all instruments is performed at the studio. Autoclaving is the only acceptable form of sterilization for a tattoo studio. Autoclave spore testing done is done at least once a month by an independent laboratory. All results can be presented upon request. Each item IS sterilized, single packaged and not opened until you are seated in the chair. Each package has an indicator to verify it has been processed. Lila Rees is a State Licensed Tattoo Artist and has taken the required Blood Borne Pathogens and Universal Precaution course through the American Red Cross. Lila has been licensed in Vermont since 2005. Rock City Tattoo is a State licensed and inspected tattoo parlor, passing all State requirements. All items that may be touched during a procedure are barrier wrapped to prevent cross contamination (including, but not limited to; soap bottles, clip cords, power supply, lighting, etc.)All needles are pre-packaged sterile and single use. Needles are disposed of immediately after each tattoo procedure into a biohazard sharps container. All razors are also single use only.Rock City only uses Nitrile gloves, a synthetic latex, that will not cause an allergic reaction and does not break down with the use of ointments (vs. latex). All furniture and work areas are disinfected between clients with a hospital grade disinfectant.
